Where to live during the Mini-Con in Arlöv

Due to the facts that the convention will be the largest we've had yet, and that I'm in the middle of renovating my apartment, I'm sorry to say that I won't be able to have any of the visitors sleep over at my place - it would be unfair to those who can't fit, and frankly, I would be embarrassed about having people living here while the apartment looks like WW III.

This means that I of course have checked around to see what other types of living are available during the weekend. Because of the large amount of younger people among the members, I've only checked up on budget hotels.

There's hotel Formula 1 on the outskirts of Malmö, just a short distance from Arlöv where the convention is held. They can be reached at phone number 0046-40–93 05 80. They have rooms with 1-3 beds, at 350 SEK per night, regardless of what size the room is. This is great on your budget if you want to share rooms. There's a bus stop about 150 metres from the hotel, with the buses that stop in Arlöv (that bus stop is called Östervärn.)

There's a hostel called STF Youth Hostel Malmö, and they charge 200 SEK per night in a dormitory room, and a bit more if you want your own room. They can be reached at 0046-40-82220, between 08:00-10:00 and 16:00-20:00. They're located by the Mobilia shopping mall in central Malmö. Bus connections from there to Arlöv are fairly good, with about 45 minutes of travel time. They also have a second Hostel called STF Youth Hostel Malmö City, located at Triangeln. They charge 230 SEK per night in a dormitory room, and they also have single, double, triple, and quadruple rooms. They can be reached at 0046-40-611 62 20, and it's the easiest to reach them between 18:00-22:00.

There's Hotel Horn who charge 395 SEK per night for a single bed, economy room. This means that while there is a toilet in the room itself, showers are located in the hallway. A double economy room is 595 SEK per night. They can be found at http://www.mamut.com/hotellhorn

Then there's Strand hotell. They can be reached by phone at 0046-40-16-20-30. Don't know their prices though.

Finally, I found a place called Bosse's gästvåningar, situated next to Södervärn, the bus central in Malmö. Single room is 325 SEK per night, double is 495, triple is 595, and quadruple is 695 (perfect if four of you were to share!) They can be found at http://www.bosses.se
