Some good and some bad news:

The good: I picked up a new comic book shipment yesterday evening, containing issues like MTMTE #2, RID #2 and Infestation 2: Transformers #2 (but not #1, for some reason it wasn't included, and I guess we will receive it next month instead).

The bad: I had planned to repackage the shipment and send it out during the weekend, but I broke my left hand this morning and can't use it... It's all plastered up, and I may even have to undergo surgery (I will know on Monday).

Right now I don't know exactly what to do. I will try to repackage the items as best as I can, but it will likely need more time than usual. Putting the comics into mylar bags shouldn't be too problematic, but as you know I send everything wrapped in brown paper. And you need two hands for that (I think?).

More info on contents later...

Ouch. I wish you a speedy recovery, Lars. You can delay my deliveries until the hand has healed up properly, as I was majorly behind on sorting and reading my comics anyway.

Good news for my patient NTFA Store customers!

While my left hand is still bandaged (I had to undergo hand surgery twice, with the second operation being particularly taxing), the index and middle fingers regained a certain level of mobility a couple of days ago, so today I decided to see if I'm ready to start wrapping the comics so I can send them out.
And I have just finished successfully packaging the first 1/7 of the shipment! It's time-consuming and the wrapping looks crappy, but it works! So now I will try to get everything sent out as soon as possible. I can't promise that I'll get everything sent out before the post box is emptied on Monday (the packaging process is a bit tiresome), but I will try.

The contents:
Robots in Disguise #2
More Than Meets the Eye #2
Infestation 2: Transformers #2 (#1 is delayed, should be delivered next time)

Transformers, volume 6: Police Action (paperback)
Last Stand of the Wreckers (hardcover)

Snake Eyes #10
Cobra #10
G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Annual 2012 (A covers only; will try to hunt down one needed B cover)
G.I. Joe 2 Movie Prequel #1
G.I. Joe 2 Movie Prequel #2

G.I. Joe Disavowed, volume 5 (paperback)
G.I. Joe Yearbook (paperback)

Infestation 2: Team-Up
Infestation 2: Dungeons & Dragons #1

I want to thank all the NTFA Store customers for their patience.

Thanks!, judging by the doctors it seems I'm doing okay. smile.gif
I'm still experiencing cramps and have to take painkillers three times a day to ease the pain, but the doctors saw no reason to be concerned when I revisited the hospital for a planned checkup and the removal of the stitches last Wednesday. Quite the opposite, everything seems to be normal.

I mentioned that two of my fingers have regained a certain level of mobility/flexibility. That leaves two fingers that are still stiff and unmoving, but that too is perfectly normal - it turns out that three of the five nails that are inserted into the hand are positioned in such a way that they happen to block the tendons/sinews ("sena" in Swedish) in the hand/fingers, thereby making it impossible for me to lift/move the two outer fingers. I will probably need physiotherapy ("sjukgymnastik") to learn to move them again when the nails have been pulled out (on April 30), but still, that's perfectly normal for cases like this broken hand.

I just put in a subscription for the new G1 series, but I completely understand if it will take longer to deliver (if you haven't fully recovered by then).

Ah, that shouldn't be a problem at all. Even when #80,5 arrives (in May I hope) the bandage and the nails will already have been removed. The left hand might still be a bit weak at the time, but not so much that I think it will affect the packacking of the comics. And when the main series starts I should definitely be back to normal!

Good to hear! Both for your hand and for the shipments, obviously smile.gif
