Honkimus Prime
One of my favourite characters. However I tried to do something different and I borrowed some features from Chevy Nova for my Hot Rod would obviously transform in to a american made muscle car. Like in case of many even really good TF drawings, I didn't pay too much attention to the possible car mode. I just drew a robot that has some hints about what he is going to transform. For I'm not making a plans for a actual transfoming toy etc, so I didn't have to be so super realistic.

This is actually my very first robot I drew since I was a kid (like since... I don't know... 20 years ago?). I have to admit that drawing cubic robots is not very easy. Or at least not for me. I used mainly two point perspective for the body, but the problem is that you almost have to put all perspectives in to a one picture. Obviously you could just portray the chracter from one point view, but that is a bit boring. But atleast it doesn't look that distorted. I'm actually quite happu about this work.

Nice! smile.gif

The shoulders gave me a Ultra Magnus vibe - maybe this is more Rodimus Prime than Hot Rod? smile.gif

Yeah those kind of have the UM vibe. I tried to models those after the back section of a Nova and I wanted them to align with the rest of the upper arm. Hmmm...Rodimus Prime. Maybe, but I wanted him to look less dour than I imagine Rodimus Prime would be. But then again they do look quite the same. Maybe I ink this someday and I could do two different versions if I figure how to color this.
