I'm beginning to think we won't get the game until sometime next week. Neither CDON.COM nor Gamezone have confirmation that the game is currently in stock and Gamezone is now listing August 30th as unconfirmed delivery date. Usually games are sent out one or two days before their release date, so this doesn't bode well for Friday or the weekend. Could be that the game is in stock and they don't want to (or aren't allowed to) shift this before the official European release date, but as the Americans already got hold of it a couple of days ago, I would find this highly unfair. One thing is certain; by buying it online, I/you now won't be getting it on the release date. Not very satisfactory, I have to say

I had the same issue with WFC back in 2010. I pre-ordered it from Megastore, but they didn't ship it out before the release-date for some reason, so I ended up having to wait through the weekend before it arrived.
Hence why I opted for a in-store pre-order this time around. While I hate having to spend the time and money going to the nearest town with a Gamestop, it sure beats waiting even longer for it to actually be delivered.
I have a GameStop at a shopping center just about a kilometre away, but I do all my game acquisitions online due to better pricing and better availability. And I don't have to witness the store clerk manhandling the merchandise. Online you always get things factory sealed and well protected. But that was a bit off-topic

And yeah, it's highly unfair to begin with, as well as counter-productive from an anti-piracy standpoint. I don't condone pirating games, but rule #1 for game publishers in this day and age should really be NOT pissing off half of it's customers (read: every single non-American gamer) by releasing the PAL version of the games several days after the US NTSC version. Not only does it make your company look bad, it also in some cases forces some people into downloading a cracked copy of the game, not because they don't necessarily want to pay for it, but because they don't want to miss out on community discussion or even worse, have to isolate themselves from the internet in fear of spoilers. *cough*
True. And I hate pirates. Arrr....

On a side note, turns out that Activision reset and put further restraints on the demo today. Locking the Destroyer and Scientist classes, as well as lowering the level cap to three. I understand why they did it, but it would've been nice if they could've at least waited until the game had been released in all markets first.
I haven't played the demo. Don't want any spoilers

. I won't know if the game is decent or shite, but I'm for once (again) a gambling man. I will wait patiently, if I have to. But the vacation is almost over...
