BigPete
Right, welcome to my all new and rebooted collection pics thread smile.gif After living in our new apartment for almost two months, having had a nice, big wedding, paying for two trips abroad and new furniture for the rest of the apartment, I'm sad to say that my TF collection won't be ready for display until we've had the time and money to buy all the shelves.

However, my collection of TF-related autographs is ready, and hangs above my new computer desk in the TF room. It will grow bigger as time goes by, but it's already looking pretty decent IMO!

*For some reason the pic has disappeared from my Photobucket account* :S

* Shia LaBeouf signed photograph from the 2007 movie
* Jon Voight promotional 2007 TF movie stillphoto + separate autograph
* Megan Fox signed promotional 2007 TF movie stillphoto
* G1 Optimus Prime art signed by Simon Furman, 2007 movie Optimus Prime art signed by Jason Cardy, photo of me, Simon Furman, and Andrew Wildman.
* Signed and personalized limited edition photograph of Dan Gilvezan (nr. 16/25), G1 Bumblebee's voice. The photo reads: "To Peter - Roll On!!", photo of me and Dan Gilvezan, and a G1 BB Vs. Spiderman AA2008 exclusive postcard.
* Gregg Berger (G1 Grimlock) signed photograph
* Ian James Corlett (Beast Wars/Machines Cheetor) signed photograph
* Picture from Aliens signed by Lance Henriksen (Animated Lockdown)
* Promotional 2007 movie photo signed by Rachael Taylor
* Optimus Primal sketch art signed by Garry Chalk
* An issue of Beast Wars: The Gathering signed by Scott McNeil
* G1 Perceptor box art signed by Paul Eiding
* Beast Wars Megatron postcard signed by David Kaye
* Signed photograph of Neil Ross
* G1 Bluestreak box art signed by Casey Kasem
* G1 Starscream sketch made and signed by Simon Williams
* Several issues of the G2 comic signed by Simon Furman
* War Within: Age of Wrath #4 script signed by Simon Furman

I have some new autographs as well that need to get framed before I can display them.
BigPete
Phew, finally got the time and money to buy two Billy bookcases and four doors for them. The room is still a bloody mess, but it feels nice to have started, at least.

Some "before" pics:

Hmmm, what's that in the background? Oh yeah, my two meter tall ROTF Bumblebee standee! wink2.gif

And a few hours after the above pictures were taken, the room currently looks like this:

I'll be adding four more of those bookcases. No point in showing what they look like behind the doors yet; they're just stuffed with what I could unpack from random boxes! Will do a proper setup later on though! Stay tuned for the next update! wink2.gif
**BRUTICUS**
throw away that BB it takes to much space.

What in the name of Alpha Trion? No standard see-through glass vitrine doors smile.gif ? You will *gasp* hide your collectables? Is this a compromise struck with your missus? Hmmm.... wow2.gif wink2.gif .

You just want it for yourself, don't you? wink2.gif

Haha! smile.gif No, there are some real thoughts behind my decision! wink2.gif The doors are actually semi-transparent, even though you can't see that in the photos. Also, the windows are made of plastic instead of glass, to make them lighter and less prone to breaking if I move them. The windows are also coated with UV-ray protection film. And I like the fact that you can't really see what's standing behind the doors; you get a few hints, but you really need to open them up to get a clear view smile.gif The idea is to make people more interested in opening the cabinets and actually look at what's inside. I don't know if it'll work or not, but I thought it was worth a try smile.gif I will be adding spotlights in the ceiling later on to focus on some of the shelves as well. Does that answer your question? smile.gif And no, the missus has nothing to do with this, haha!

BigPete
The pile of boxes is shrinking! biggrin.gif

Now the room looks like this:

Another three or four Billy bookcases and I'm all set! smile.gif

This is what it looks like inside the bookcases at the moment. It's a bloody mess.. I just crammed them with as much stuff as possible just to get the boxes out of the way. After all the bookcases are in place, I will do a proper setup smile.gif

BigPete
Right, so it was Friday night, and I had absolutely nothing to do. Looking at my collection, I realised that it took up more space than I wanted it to. Even with the addition of the last Billy cases, I wouldn't have enough room to fit anything new in!

So, what to do?

This!

Muahahahaaa!!!! wink2.gif
BigPete
And the result after opening all those packages:

I have a few more movie figures around here though. I just have to find them first! Haha! smile.gif
SureShot
So sweet!

btw some picture resizing would be nice smile.gif

I always try to lift the bubble carefully to extract the to.., um, collectible and try to preserve the card as best as I can. But the sight of this... Destruction? Man, talk about tearing into things. Oh well, it's ROTF stuff, so no big loss anyway. Hope you had fun thumbs.gif !
BigPete
...and today I got two more Billy bookcases, so now I have 6 of those "beauties", hehe smile.gif

This also finally gives me enough shelf space to actually start arranging the collection, even though it will take a loooooong time.

The first two bookcases are arranged with my sealed Cybertron collection though, and now look like this:

Scouts and Deluxes:

Micromasters, Mini-Cons, Legends, and Deluxes:

Ultras and a single Voyager:

Voyagers and a lonely Leader Galvatron: wink2.gif

Leaders:

Supremes:

More to come!
BigPete
Some more pics:

Movie & ROTF figures:

Beast Wars Neo Cybertrons:

A bit more...

G1 reissues:

Random boxed stuff...
Beast Wars, Beast Machines, exclusives, Choro-Q, Pepsi Convoy, the awesome Star Convoy with a massive TWO points of articulation, MiSB Titanium Fallen signed by Simon Furman, and so on...

BigPete
My now complete collection of Alternators! All of them are sealed except for Dead End.

Very nice thumbs.gif ! Gives me massive withdrawal symptoms seeing this wink2.gif . I must get back in the groove.
BigPete
I finally started sorting and arranging my loose G1 figures, and this is what it looks like now although I'm not completely happy with the arrangement:

Pretenders and random bits! This is the only shelf that now suffers from crowded syndrome.. I'll have to do something about that later!

Seekers. Once I have all six (no reissues here!) they will get a shelf of their own where they can be properly displayed.

Sondwave, Blaster, and the horde of cassettes!

On the left, a mini '86 movie display. The rest are figures with Nebulans; Targetmasters, Powermasters, and Headmasters. Grimlock makes a guest appearance as the "random bits" shelf is overcrowded wink2.gif

Micromasters! This department is seriously lacking. I'll have to fix that as well some day wink2.gif

Actionmasters

Actionmaster exoskeletons and vehicles

Combiners

Citybots
Fighbird
Awesome stuff man! thumbs.gif

Here's some more wink2.gif

Animated Autobots:

Animated Decepticons:

More random boxed stuff, even though some fancy MiB/MiSB/MOSC G1 starts showing up now wink2.gif
BigPete
And finally, we've reached the point where I can actually take out my boxed G1 and get some pictures smile.gif

Sixshot and Omega Supreme

Joyride, Punch/Counterpunch, and Chainclaw. Joyride is MiSB, and the bubble containing Punch's weapons is still sealed.

Ultra Magnus in a really banged up box, and a MiSB Battletrap

MOSC Spanish Throttlebots, only missing Goldbug.

A few MOSC Micromaster teams

Apeface and Nightbeat

Spanish Optimus Prime - still taking good care of it Martin! wink2.gif

Shrapnel, Ironhide, Astrotrain, Jazz, Springer, and Repugnus

Shrapnel, Ironhide, Astrotrain, Jazz, Springer, and Repugnus

Looking at that Springer, I am curious as to why it has a rub mark? The original Classics release did not come with a rub mark (I remember being a bit iffed about that when I picked mine up in 1990), so I'm wondering if it's applied after the fact, or is a replacement toy... wink2.gif
BigPete
Does that go for the Spanish Classics Springer as well, as mine is? I have to confess though that I added the rubmark myself some time ago as it looked awkward without one IMO... wink2.gif
Fighbird
All Classics are from the same production run (from when the chinese started making their Hasbro-licensed run in the early 1990s) - only thing different was the writing on the boxes. And yeah, Springer looks kinda "naked" without it, and me being a stickler for "purity", I never though about adding it...

(even though the stickers are repro and the worn chrome parts have been painted silver many moons ago... tongue.gif )
BigPete
Some more stuff!

The very few Beast Wars and Beast Machines toys I have. They're not a priority at the moment, and I only want the show characters, so I usually only buy them if they're really cheap ;)

Revoltech Transformers! Wish they'd make more!

And a few random pieces; all I could get out without removing half my collection, lol! Reissue Star Convoy, Takara Pepsi Convoy, Titanium TWW The Fallen signed by Simon Furman, and the EZ Collection Exclusive Master Megatron.

Choro Q Transformers! I have all of them, including the TakaraTomy shareholder's exclusive set with Convoy and a Pokemon truck, haha!

Fighbird
Wow, rock-bubble Dinobot! I guess he ain't as expensive now as he used to be, but he's still a rare sight. smile.gif

What was that shareholder exclusive thing again? Do you have a close-up of the contents?

It was a gift set offered only to those who own shares in the TakaraTomy company, back in 2007 shortly after the the two companies merged. It contains two Choro-Q trucks who sadly don't transform. The first truck is a small truck painted in a Pokemon design, and the larger truck is painted with a Transformers theme. It was a nice choice of franchises for this set if you ask me. The strongest franchise of each company, together as one, as in the merger. Very symbolical smile.gif

I don't have any additional pics myself as I'm keeping my set MiSB, but I managed to google some up for you smile.gif

Inner packaging:

Pokemon truck:

Transformers truck:

Fighbird
Heh, neat. smile.gif Although, the bigger red truck isn't a Choro-Q - only the small grey/blue. I think Tomy had those Matchbox-style cars as one of their "trademark toys", hence the mixup of themes on each type of franchise. You can see the logo (which I can't read) in the upper left-hand corner of your opene box for the Tomy cars, and I suspect the right-hand corner one says Chor-Q.

Still a cool set though! smile.gif
BigPete
Some new pics:

Alternators, all 27 of them, all MiSB!

Masterpieces:

Animated Autobots! Main show cast on the left, Elite Guard on the right:

More Animated Autobots! "One episode bots", repaints etc. on the left, Dinobots on the right:

Animated Decepticons! Main cast on the left, repaints, one hit wonders and such on the right:

Various boxed G1 toys:

G1 Actionmasters:

Tapes and players! Still missing Beastbox and Squawktalk... :/

BigPete
Seekers. Screamer is in a vintage G1 Japanese box.

Citybots!

More citybots! ;)

G1 combiners! All of them actually, except Monstructor.

G1 Micromasters. I love these small guys smile.gif Notice the card on the far left? "Micro Transformers"?? Yeah, very early Hasbro release before they settled on the final name Micromasters smile.gif

More Micromasters! And no, all the loose MMs are still unsorted as there are like 130+ toys to go through, hehe smile.gif

STILL TO COME:

* MOVIE STUFF
* BEAST WARS
* BEAST MACHINES
* BEAST WARS NEO
* A LOT MORE LOOSE G1
* G1 REISSUES
* MORE BOXED G1
* RANDOM BOXED AND LOOSE STUFF
Fighbird
Sweet stuff, Pete - and congrats on the Blitzwing that you've been looking for for so long. smile.gif

Regarding the "Micro Transformers" stuff, the first 3 Micromaster patrols - Off Road, Race Car and Air Strike - were actually late 1988 releases (like nowadays, G1 also came out in "waves" with some overlap; because so little information on which waves contained what, G1 is generally grouped by years instead of wave). I bought my own Off Road Patrol in the winter of 1988 before the silver/gold packaging of 1989 came into play in the selection.

BigPete
So, I snapped some new pics back in May/June, but I forgot to post them here... 95% of the pictures are outdated again, but might still be fun to look at smile.gif Also including a video of all the stuff, and there are quite a few items in there that aren't in the pics. But I need to redo the video as well, haha! Enjoy, and feel free to comment smile.gif

Alternators, all MiSB:

Masterpieces:

Some of my boxed/carded G1. There are no reissues here! (I don't count the gold classics as reissues tongue.gif)
'

Some of my loose G1 is up next!

Unless these are very much second-hand, you should have bagged and boarded them. Having them lying in a pile on the floor like that tells me these are far from mint/near mint smile.gif .
BigPete
They are all bagged, but not boarded as I've yet to find a store around here with back boards for comics. It looks worse than it is; I just used the floor for sorting them smile.gif They are being kept in magazine stands where they are perfectly safe smile.gif

"Nom, nom, nom"? Where does that come from? I was worried for a second you would break into a song and dance routine belting out "Dragostea Din Tei" tongue.gif .

Can I recommend Herman's Place on eBay? I've been buying comics supplies (BCW brand) from him several times now and it's been a great experience. Just remember to ask for a slightly oversized shipping box with added side/corner protection. A box with 200 bags & booards weighs in at almost 5 kilograms and shipping carriers often drop these on their corners, denting the backing boards if there is no extra room in the shipping box. Been there, done that.

BigPete
I actually got a package of backboards from a small comic shop that only deals in second hand Swedish comics, hehe. Totally forgot that it existed, and stumbled upon it by accident today. 100 SEK for 100 backboards. Not too bad smile.gif

Now I just have to put one with every comic, and figure out where to keep the comics now that they will take up more room, hehe smile.gif

Will also start looking for replacements for those of my comics that are a bit worn.
falcon
Wow my friend. I am impressed with your collection.

It looks great and well displayed
BigPete
Finally finished my goal to get all four colour variations of the Seacons, and took some quick snaps smile.gif

Unfortunately I noticed that my vintage G1 Skalor has yellowed and needs to be replaced sad.gif

But at least you can really tell how off the colours are in the reissue, haha!

In the pictures we have G1 Piranacon, BBTS Commemorative Piranacon, TFCC Timelines Piranacon, and Beast Wars II God Neptune.
