Is it possible to raise the amount of emoticons per posted message (both on the board and in PMs)? The limit of 5 is maybe a little too low for my part; 8 or so could be nice...

But if I'm the only one who feels this, I will naturally withdraw my request. smile.gif

When quoting someone else I've run into problems adding my own emoticons like I'd like to because of the amout of emoticons in what I'm quoting. I do think some restraints are necessary to prevent the overuse of emoticons, though. It all depens on the lenght of the post and the types of emoticons.

I think five should be enough (obviously, since it was I who set that limit). But it is incredibly dumb that quoted emoticons count towards that limit. Unfortunately there's not much I can do about that "bug", since it is a limitation of the board.

speaking of emoticon limit problems... I've run into this several times.
I've quoted a message with five emoticons and in my own written message i didn't use any emoticons on my own nor did I write any emoticon code. Still i got the error that the message contained to many emoticons.
