Not when I'm having soooo much fun tongue.gif wink2.gif . When you are celebrating 25 years as a Transformers collector, you have to go big smile.gif . But I really was playing catch-up; the Masterpieces I put on hold until Rodimus Convoy came out in the revised version (I already have the TRU version with Targetmaster Offshoot, but I don't really want to miss out on any of the TakaraTomy Masterpiece editions). And the Botcon box set came out at the end of April, but I was scouting for a complete set plus all exclusives before I made up my mind and splashed out the cash. I have to admit in the end it was a hugely expensive experience, but I'm done now. The focus is now shifting to upcoming announced releases.

Got these (minus ravage) from Smokescreen. I'm happy to have more Binaltech/altenators stuff. Though because of their size, I'm only collecting my favourite characters.

A shame they cancelled those Binaltechs/Alternators and went for the smaller Alternity figures. The Binaltechs/Alternators were for the most part downright awesome, real pieces of art. Gotta love those Subarus, Chevrolet Corvettes and Ford Mustangs representing the classic characters. Kudos to you, sir, for choosing to get some of the best figures ever to surface thumbs.gif .

Thanks, I try to do my best biggrin.gif Seems to me that you have fared rather nicely as well. Nice MP catch. There is lots of other stuff as well you got, but I also really like the MP-series. And even though I not such a huge bayformers fan, that revoltech movie Prime actually isn't that bad.

Somebody asked about PRID-line? Perhaps 1. edition toys are more detailed etc. but many of those PRID-versions aren't that bad at all. I don't have that many of them, but I really rcommend to get for example Ratchet, Bulkhead, Soundwave and Optimus Prime. I actually think that PRID Prime has better alt mode that 1. edition Prime.

For some reason, I've been exremely lazy lately in updating my latest acquisitions. Here's my latest from the last few months:

DotM Cyberverse Optimus Prime / Armored Weapons Platform
TF Prime Bumblebee vs. Starscream Entertainment Pack
TF Prime RiD Soundwave
TF Prime RiD Wheeljack
Transformers Animated/Movie EZ Collection 03 TFA Bumblebee

I got one more thing together with the Botcon stuff that I didn't mention; in the deal was also a 12-inch G1 Optimus Prime PVC/vinyl figure. The seller didn't say anything about its background, so I needed to do some checking first. The figure is actually a Metalforce Optimus Prime released by Time House in 1999/2000. There are two versions, a TV colour version and a metallic colour variant. While the metallic colour version came in a nice red decorated box, the TV colour version came in a plain white cardboard box with Autobot insignias on it. Or the latter was some kind of mail-away version. Limited appeal, certainly, with the lack of articulation, but it doesn't look too bad when just standing there (as statues do... tongue.gif ). The only thing that annoys me is the bad fit of the "helmet" (removable and adjustable) and the slightly bug-eyed look.

Such an awesome haul Thunderclash. :-)

Seeing all that brings to my mind that I haven't bought any new TF's since november last year huh.gif I've really been out of the game for a long period.
The Encore Devastator I bought last year in august from BBTS I just had shipped to me a few days ago and I can pick it up a the P.O tomorrow... that's really the only TF purchase I've made in 7 months.

VAT and customs fees are always a bummer, but it's hard to "avoid". Can I recommend using Asian-based eBay sellers like "toyspark" or "ehobbybaseshop" instead wink2.gif ?

Yup I know them and have used them for a long time too... but Customs have been very strict with most of my shipments when iit's about TF's an I had to pay import fees. So for the last 1½years most purchases have been within europe.
In the future if I'm going to make more TF purchases it will be just with Europe, I'm getting tired of emailing back and forth with cutoms to give the invoices and then pay for just handling import/fees (no custom fee).

Franky I'm not sure if I'm going to purchase more TF's other than G.1 Swoop which I'm missing in the collection.
No more masterpieces etc. I simply haven't got the money anymore since everything goes to bills, insurances, rent etc.

You have not registered with the Danish Post or another carrier that is handling the import for you automatically? I've been using Posten/Bring here in Norway for several years and as long as the correct paperwork is provided by the shipping party, ie. an invoice doesn't have to be present as long as there is a content value stated on the customs declaration/shipping label, everything is taken care of without any interaction from my side.

OK? Well, you did officially "quit" a couple of years back, or you said you would and then the figures still continued trickling in... smile.gif . Transformers is fun if you find it inspirational and it still triggers that coolness factor even at a more mature age (I refuse to use a number here tongue.gif ), so I hope you hang in there, but in these times it is definitely a luxury commodity and when competing with real world costs this hobby has to go to the bottom of the priority list. I fully understand your position.

The laws are what they are. We just have to accept it, no matter how much we dislike the added customs fees and VAT. However, you are EU members, so you can subtract the VAT from the originator EU country and only pay your own country's VAT. That means you are better off than us living outside of the EU zone smile.gif .

Yea I'm a bit sad about it too, but unfortunately TF's have become a luxury I can't afford... not untill I get another job that can give me just a bit for economic freedom e.g going to the cinema once a month or so.

Summer means flea markets! Bouncing around various small Swedish towns sometimes yields fun stuff, even though the atrocious weather has been seriously dampening my mood (and everyone else's) this year.

Small compilation of stuff I got recently:

G1:

Octane is in great condition aside from the obligatory chrome scuffing. The rest are doubles for me except the small ones in the other two photos. Man, I love Micromasters.

Unicron Trilogy:

Yes, Metroplex is complete.

Classics:

Oh man that 2-pack Prime is horrid. Megatron is pretty ok outside of his action feature. Love his headsculpt.

"Other":

Yeah, I know. But technically he's not even a Go-Bot here, they were sold as "Robomachines" directly by Bandai, and he has the stickers to prove it. laugh.gif This was kind of an impulse buy because I really love how that jet mode looks.
