I'm starting to do part-time trading in Transformers video games - both current and retro dating right back to the very first Transformers games released in 1985 and I was wondering who would be interested in seeing these for sale at Auto Assembly Europe? Depending on the price I wouldn't mind a copy of Mystery of Convoy. If only for the fact that it's one of, if not the hardest game in the Famicon library. tongue.gif

I should be getting a delivery of a couple of copies just in time for the convention but I won't know what price until they arrive as I won't know whether I will get hit with customs on them or not but I'll try to keep the price fair on them. I've played it myself and really don't know why they made it as hard as they did. I haven't decided how I can give it an honest review for the website yet!

The best of all of the 8-bit games was the one for the Commodore 64 by Activision - the others really weren't worth bothering with apart from a collector's point of view like me wanting to own everything! lol

Ouch! Now that there might be a chance for me to get Mystery of Convoy Famicom game, I foolishly went and sold my Famiclone console which would have played it! sad.gif

Still, gonna pick it up if you got one for reasonable price.

Any plans on making some of these game playable at the convention?

I won't be able to bring any consoles with me as I'm travelling fairly light (by plane from the UK), but normally we have a massive video games area at Auto Assembly every August running as many of these games as possible. The only ones we haven't been able to run so far have been Mystery Of Convoy (because my import adaptor for my NES hasn't been working properly) the Headmasters game for the Famicom Disk System (still trying to get one!), and the Japanese PS2 game from Takara (I've been struggling to find anyone willing to sell me a modified PS2!).

Apart from that, everything you've seen on the website I've got available to play. I own a copy of pretty much everything that's on the site and most of the variants of them as well, but I'm just missing one or two from my own private collection!

I've definitely got three copies on the way of Mystery Of Convoy so I'll work out prices on them as soon as they get here! Any other requests for games so I can try to track them down and bring them with me?

Modified PS2 consoles are quite common on a Swedish site called blocket and can be found for pretty cheap every once in a while. If you can't find one locally I'd be quite happy to keep an eye out for you and middleman a bit. All you'd need to worry about is a AC adapter. smile.gif

Speaking of the Takara G1 PS2 game, I wouldn't mind buying one of those either. Everyone claims it's horrible, and I don't doubt them. But I've always wanted to try it for myself. Hehe smile.gif

I can get the Takara game but at the moment it would probably be around the £30+ mark as it's quite expensive for me to get hold of. I am trying to get some regular suppliers and want to get a couple specifically in Japan for some of the more specialist titles as well as buying larger collections from people so I can get games like this but I can put your names down on a waiting list if I can get copies of it in if you are interested.

Sure. Put my name on the list. smile.gif After having a quick look around £30 seems to be the going rate for it anyway. And I'm in no rush to get it either way (need to get myself a modified PS2 as well. Hehe).

Just had a copy of the old 8-bit G1 game for the Spectrum delivered today if anyone is interested. Also, for those of you on Facebook, I have a load of Transformers and other bits for sale and I can bring these with me as well - probably enough to fill a large suitcase or two!

I'll be getting a copy of the rare Beast Wars game for the Gameboy Color delivered soon if anyone is interested! It's just the cartridge only and it will be £20 but obviously I don't expect to have this in stock for very long!

If you can't make it to Auto Assembly Europe, I will be doing mail order sales as well! smile.gif

I might be interested in some of the 8-bit games you may have, like "Battle to save the earth" (if it's in a large double-cassette case or a disc version), the early c64 TF game (if it's in a crystal cassette case with inlay), the Spektrum one (ditto) and "GIJoe" for the c64.

I don't know about payment and stuff (as I won't be there personally), but maybe we can work something out through mails? You should have my mail addy... smile.gif

Hi Martin,

I don't have any Commodore 64 games left at the moment but I will be getting more in soon so I'll let you know when they arrive. I have got a copy of Action Force for the C64 though in the large box version (I sold out of the smaller cassette re-release version at the convention) and I've got two copies of the Spectrum Transformers game in stock so email me if you're interested and let me know what other Transformers games you are looking for as I should be able to get them.
