I've been collecting almost every Moive 07 figures and a lot of Movie 09 figures too, but these new Movie 11 figures really puts my mind in doubt !.

First the figures are all so tiny :/ voyager class is just a large Deluxe imo, and secondly the toys released sofar are not that exciting. Thirdly I don't want to spend $ on some pooer figures so therefore which currently released figures are good/great and could be labled "must buy"s ?
The only really interesting ones I have looked at are Leader Sentinel Prime and Voyager Shockwave.

Yeah, I too have been mildly interested in the new DOTM toys. I’ve gotten Sentinel Prime, Roadbuster and Crankcase so far and they are rather nice. Well not Roadbuster, he sucks. thumbdown.gif The smaller human alliance figures look cool, like Icepick and Backfire but otherwise…I might pass on most actually. It’s mostly the same old characters redone in some manner. Perhaps I’m the only one, but I also think Shockwave looks terrible in every way and every mode. And the whole mechtech thing is so poorly executed.

Well I like Shockwave since he's quite different and the robot mode still has a lot G.1 in it. As for Mechtech stuff it's just pure awfull... we get automorph, mech-a-live and mechtech... for once make something worth... targetmaster, powermaster functions etc.

From what I have seen so far, nothing has really taken my interest other than Sentinel Prime (he is actually worth the ridiculous shelf price around here, IMHO).

All other toys are pretty much only rehashes of excisting characters - 574,576 new versions of Bumblebee with slight remolding and new colors? No thanks... More Ironhides? No thanks... 1,536,246 new versions of Prime? Well, unless they can top the DOTM Leader toy, then No thanks as well.

The cars look cool generally, though (the deluxe ones, like the race cars), but I'm not won over. Especially if they are smaller than previous deluxe cars. C'mon, Hasbro - ever heard of scale?

I might do a 180 once I see the movie, but OTOH I'd rather spend my money on G1 than movie stuff this time around. Let's see how long I can hold out... biggrin.gif

Hehe we got the same taste in figures bounce1.gif innocent.gif - I've ordered precisely the same ones !. Megatron and Ironhide will probably be on next months budget - I'll know for sure after wednesday june 29th when I exit the cinemas comfy chairs around midnight with my father & brother... oh yes we got the tickets ready for ordering.

Same here... there's been an ocean of BB's... and franky I still find the Movie 2007 Premium versions of Ironhide, BB, Barricade, Jazz etc the BEST of the bunch. What I'd really like to see would be a Leader Blackout and Leader Ratchet.
I'm quite interested in the Leader Ironhide release since you don't have to schedule around 20-30min of transforming time to get him to either mode... and then he has some quite cool gimmicks.

Not sure about that Bumblebee, but that Sideswipe is Walmar Exclusive.

The reason for the smaller figures is of course the MechTech weapons. I don't think that completely justifies it, but they did lower the retail price as well.

So far I've got Sentinel, Megs, Skyhammer, Roadbuster, Topspin, and Shockwave. Haven't had a look at them yet except for Sentinel and Megs, but those two figures are amazing!

Haven't really been paying attention to DOTM so far, but I usually try to get everything when I first start buying the stuff. The first half of the year has been pretty free of Transformers (only the occasional variant TF comic), so I've built up a slight "hunger" wink2.gif .

Probably not getting anything this time around. The previous movie toys are shoved into the lower shelves where I don't really look at them, and the new characters don't seem too interesting.

DOTM toy line - in a word, meh. There's only a handful of completely new figures. What we have is yet another variation of Bumblebee/Camaro, Ratchet/Hummer, Optimus Prime/Kenworth and Starscream/F-22. Megatron on the other hand has had a different alt mode in each movie. Kudos for that. I got the deluxe Roadbuster but wasn't too impressed with it as it turned out to be a shellformer. Soundwave I just might consider to get, if he has that Mercedes alt mode.

Don't know, it might have something to do with the fact that I'm gradually winding down on collecting. I've pretty much got what I've ever wanted on G1 and the newer lines just don't seem to get me excited anymore. I've got the Devastator Giftset on pre-order and if Hasbro's MP Rodimus ends up in some web store for reasonable price, I'll probably get it.

Sofar I got;
Deluxe: Roadbuster, Topspin, Scanseries Sideswipe, Scanseries Ironhide.
Voyager: Skyhammer, Shockwave, Megatron
Leader: Sentinel Prime.

I'll be later getting Deluxe Bumblebee, Starscream, Thundercracker, Cyberfire Bumblebee (looks really cool!), Laserbeak and Soundwave if he gets here, and finally Leader Ironhide. Then that's it. I won't be getting Optimus Prime since he just sucks to much as toy in DOTM toy line.
If we get a Leader Megatron I'd get him.
.... still where the hell is that Leader Blackout ! that's the single one Leader version I really really really want.

Careful with the blue Walmart Sideswipe. I've received a duplicate, so I decided to open one of them and have it on display. Hasbro had chosen to flip out the rear roof sections and wind the ties around these, displaying the cannons/guns underneath inside the package, but this also seems to put some stress on the roof sections. When I had unwinded and removed the tie from the roof sections and attempted to flip the cannons back underneath, the right roof section just broke off its mounting. And I didn't even apply any notable pressure. It would seem the damage was already present before I received it. Therefore, I urge you not to unwind the ties. Just use a cable cutter or a scissor to remove it.
