I dug up some of the pictures from Arlöv and noticed the strange Inferno repaint called, judging by the file name I put on it, Tarmac. I can't tell exactly if he's a custom or a knockoff, but I recall there being some story behind him. Can anyone enlighten me (again)?

Tarmac was a Decepticon in Don Figueroa's Macromasters fan comic.

Wasn't this particular figure the one Martin was keeping for a while and then sending to another person? I seem to have a vague recollection of something along those lines...

I asked a similar question many years ago on the Autocon Yahoo Group. They send him around to each other and take many photos of his journey. He actually picked up a sidekick along the way as well as I believe some additional arsenal. I actually haven't kept up on his journey for the past 4 years so I definitely have to catch up myself. He's been all over the world.

Yup, you're both right. Tarmac has litterally been all around the world through the combined efforts of the Autocon group (the brain trust behind currently-MIA Fred's Complete Transformers Variations site), and as such, I only saw it fitting that he joined us for Nord-Con 2007. smile.gif

Where he is now seems to be a mystery - we hope to hear from Tarmac soon, and hope he is well and being his usual adventurous self. smile.gif
