So. Only three weeks to go now smile.gif How's everyone's preparations going?

I just need to book my train tickets to and from Malmö and I'm set with the travels. Then I need to stress together a nice and decently large sum of pocket-money for the dealer tables and whatnot. pinch.gif

Well Im lucky enough that I live about 80km from the location, heck I've even had that "scouting tour" to find the location.
Yet I must say that the area was quite a maze! Yet easy enough to find the building when you're looking for the number "60".. right.. tongue.gif
Other than that Im just preparing myself for this social blast, I aint very social normally.. Yet I really look forward to talk with you guys happy.gif
Hopefully I wont say anything stupid.. *sigh* sad.gif

Also, I hope you'll get a troublefree and safe trip to Denmark Tformer.. it's quite a journey you're getting on!

I will be bringing so much crap to sell, that I need to rent a car (don't have one myself at the moment), even though I only live about 3 km away tongue.gif Heck, I can see the buildings we're gonna be at from my bedroom window, but no way I'm hauling 10 big crates of merchandise over there without transportation! wink2.gif

Other than that, it seems to be coming together quite nicely both from a personal point of view, as well as from the organizational point of view.

DkConvoy: Don't worry about saying anything "stupid" - we're generally a weird and funky bunch of guys as it is, so we generally say a lot of stupid things ourselves anyway; you'll fit right in. thumbs.gif smile.gif

I booked my flight tickets yesterday. As one of the organizers I will arrive already on Friday to help with preparations and setup, and then I will return home on Monday.
And yes, I'm flying. Not because it's much faster (although it is a nice benefit), but because it is cheaper than going by train, insanely enough!

I still haven't booked my hotel room though, so if anyone else plans to stay Friday–Monday and is interested in sharing a room to save money, let me know! wink2.gif

My stay will be quite inexpensive. Since I have quit collecting I don't really expect to buy anything this time either (I didn't at Mini-Con 2007 either). I'm guessing that the only acquisitions that I will bring home will be our special convention toy - "Mixcoatl" - and whatever gifts our sponsors have donated. Since, if everything goes according to plan, I will be bringing those convention programmes/magazines along on the trip down, my luggage should actually be lighter on the way back.

Ah, that reminds me: I plan to bring the "NTFA Repository" along for display. That means that you will be able to see the Sandnes Mini-Con exclusive toy "Downforce" (one of eight copies in existence), the Mini-Con 2007 convention toy prototype "Micromaster Darkwings" (one item in existence), plus the fan-translated TF comic book that the Finns created for one of their get-togethers a while back (one of... seven or eight copies?). I think the Repository will also be completed with one of the Movie Deluxes that Hasbro donated for Mini-Con 2007 - I believe that either Martin or BigPete has been holding on to one of the remaining figures for inclusion into the NTFA collection.

Yup! i have two or three items actually; one competition prize and two of the give-away deluxes. I'll bring them along for you smile.gif

Actually, I have one already with Lars' name on it I plan on bringing - as well as a certain toy that I kind of owe him, so he *will* be bringing a bit home with him.

(I just figure that I have one Arlöv toy saved for him anyway, and you guys need all the luggage room you can get.)

I've booked a train from København to Aalborg and back, plus a hotel room at Scandic, for myself and Tformer. Always nice to have a travel companion, and we can spend the 5 hour train-ride playing Nintendo DS games wink2.gif Roomsharing is fun as well; you get to know the person/persons you share the room with a bit better, and it makes the hotel stay considerably cheaper smile.gif We originally intended to stay at Zleep because of the then-low room rates, but the prices have steadily gone up the closer we came to the convention date. In the end, Scandic was only 300 DKK more expensive, but it has an extra star, and breakfast is included. Well worth the extra expense smile.gif

Palaste has made a Flex reservation at Scandic Hotel Aalborg for himself, me, Psychotron and Blackarachnia from saturday to monday. If needed, he could change it from one 4-person room to one 2-person room and one 3-person room.

Well then, I just recently found out that I could squish my schedule a bit to actually attend to this event biggrin.gif And I'll be home two days before my last exam... (soon student, woot!)
Still have to decide if I'll take the train (for five hours...) or take the trip by plane. Meh, I dunno. And still have to pay too.
So, anyways, will be looking forward to seeing other TF fans for the first time. 8D
