Slightly off topic, but anyway:
It makes me feel so old to suddenly find out there are people in college who have never seen a Commodore 64.

Haha! That's hilarious. Best laugh I have had in quite some time.
"Can we swap the picture of the keyboard at the top for one of the whole computer?" laugh.gif

Bwhuhahaha! Too bad we don't have the rolling on the floor laughing emoticon here. tongue.gif

oh yes! Finally got some more parts for the computer I'm building! ATX Miditower case, with 7x3.5" slots and 4x5.25" slots, and room for 1x120mm fan in the back, and four 80mm fans in the front. Also bought a 630 W PSU from a company called XION.

And I got an early birthday present today from my dear, sweet Maria biggrin.gif An Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0 GHz processor! biggrin.gif And an Asus Radeon HD 2400 XT PCI-e graphics card. Not a high-end card by any means, but it allows me to start up the computer since the motherboard doesn't have built-in graphics. Also found an 80 GB IDE harddrive which I'll plug in and use as a system disk. Now I just need to figure out how to connect all the cables and wires... Anyone handy who can help me out? smile.gif

Having built computers both for myself and for my little brother, I think I could handle it. Can you come to Helsinki so I could have a look? smile.gif

haha, thanks for the offer, but I figured it out smile.gif Now I have another problem though...I put in a spare 80 GB IDE drive to use as a system disk, set it as master, and then added a dvd-burner that I set to slave, and set the jumpers correctly (triple checked), but the BIOS won't detect them...

Try the drive in another computer to see which is at fault, the drive or your computer.

it's Windows that's faulty, as always. Tried accessing the harddrive from my fiancee's computer via the network; no problems there. Browsing the drive when I'm using other programs, like photoshop, etc. works as well.

Oh man that is SOOOOO awesome ! is it the analog or digital matrox version ?
However don't you need to raise the brightness on the BenQ's ?
Also Logitech Wingman 3D (Force Feedback?)... no no you gotta go with Saitek X-36/45/52 at least biggrin.gif then it's REAL HOTAS biggrin.gif

I had Logitech Wingman 3D FF once, but got tired of FF and then got Guillemot/Hercules TopGun II, but atfer 2½years of good use it became defective, now I have X-45 alive and kicking 2years old biggrin.gif

mm a fast guess from me would be 1600Dkk a pop for the TFT's an 1900Dkk for the Matrox splitter... so about eu685 total I'd guess, - if it's all new stuff.

Tomorrow I'll be building my brothers new PC... he said he didn't need a new case (he has a silver old dusty Raidmax scorpio something), but I bought one for him anyhow... now I just hope he likes blue (329Dkk delivered):
Apevia X-DISCOVERY-BL.

http://www.apevia.com/ProductsInfo.asp?KEY=X-DISCOVERY-BL
It'll be containing some new stuff I got for it:
AMD 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition AM2 socket, unlocked multiplier so it'll run 3GHz out-of-the-box
2x1GB Kingston HyperX CL4 PC6400
MSI K9N4-SLI AM2 motherboard with SLI support.
Zotac GeForce 9600GT 512MB (bought it used but was only 7days old - got it for 780Dkk)
Thermaltake TMG A1 K8 CPU cooler
OCZ StealthXtream 500watt PSU
Soundcard, Drives/Bays and Harddrives will be reused.

The Matrox (Digital edition BTW) cost 305 € and the two 17" Benqs with DVI cables 334 €, so 639 € total.

I'm still trying to get color/contrast/brightness settings in synch with the LG. I've actually adjusted the settings somewhat after taking the photos. The dark shades in the LG are still somewhat stuffed compared to the Benqs.
