I ended up beating the dead donkey and bought a PCChips M860 mobo with a preinstalled AMD Athlon 64 socket 754 cpu for 69 euro. It's AGP only and socket 754 is pretty ancient, hence 'beating the dead donkey' expression. Would've liked the new cpu only solution better since WinXP is going to have a hard time digesting the new mobo. Well I think there are some advantages in Athlon 64 over Athlon XP.
