QUOTE(predaqueen @ 09 April 2006,10:26)
I got a lot of stuff from my sisters and my mother yesterday when they threw me a bachelorette party.
I got an appointment at the hairdressers to try to fix my ruined hair, and I got two Redkend protein products to help build up the structure in my hair.
We went to lunch at Ostehuset, and after that to a movie; The Matador. It was actually quite funny to our big surprise.
We had dinner at Allegro and drinks at Papparazzi. I got some things intended to be props for their funny stories about me, but the item I enjoyed the most was a photo album my mother had put together with pictures from my entire life. She did the same for Lin and Siv when they got married.

I got a photo album just like that when i turned 20! The best gift ever!
I wouldnt have traded that for anything in the world. There is so many memories in it, shes taken care of old stories in our local News Paper about me, old hairlocks, and my first bank account and so on...

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a tiepin with a skull on it?

If it exists or is going to get made, this is where you'll find it: http://www.alchemygothic.com/

Need I remind you that it is of poor taste?

I have looked at the jewelry available on that site and so far I don't think it's at all what I'm looking for.
I'm not looking for some big, extravagant goth jewelry. I'm not that "into" goth culture.
What I had in mind was a small, simple tiepin, you know like the ones rich people have with a pearl, only the pearl would be shaped like a human skull. Does such an item exist?

Probably, but I wouldn't know where to find it. You should talk to a jeweller, they may be able to make one for you.

There were a few hits on ebay for "tie pin skull". Have you checked them out?

I checked those. I found only eight or ten or so. Most were some skull pictures that tried to be cartoony or comical. That is not what I want at all. I want a realistic-looking skull with no added "sinister" or "evil" or "funky" effects whatsoever. I'm bidding on a simple, pin-fastened skull.

Let me guess, it's the key prop to Succubes II: Succubes in the hood (Leprechaun spoof) right? ;)

Not exactly, but if they ever make such a film, I'll be sure to wear it there!

What about Essential Thor TPBs - does anyone have them ? Are they worth buying ?

I just bought Thor Visionaries 1 & Thor Legends 3 which collect Walt Simonson's legendary run of Thor including the "Surtur Saga". Actually there's second part of the books, but it seems to be very hard to find (and expensive too). Because I have the stories in Finnish 'Marvel' comic books, I'm not that much worried...
