One of my many, many, MANY hobbies (sigh...) includes collecting comicbooks. I'm mainly a Marvel guy, so I've been focusing a lot of getting a complete danish collection. That took up a lot of my time in the mid- and late 1990s and I only need about 50 or so superhero prints to have all the danish stuff from 1967-2003 or so.

Aaaaanyways... one of the few DC characters I really like (well, I like most of them, but not enough to start collecting them) is The Flash. I saw the TV series when it first aired on RTL back in the early 90s, and have since decided to get all the danish Flash comics because I loved the character so much. Only 14 solo-issues appeared in Denmark from 1968 to 1972, and for the longest time I've been looking for that all-important and elusive #1/1968.

The same day as I find and win these guys, I find a nice copy of that very issue in a lot with some other very well-kept 60s titles for only 50 DKK (around US $8)!

I'm in vintage comicbook heaven. I haven't focused as much on my collection these past few years because of my Transformers and Yuusha collections, but every now and then I find a key issue and my spark is re-lit. I have some spare 60s stuff that I might sell off to get funds for the stuff I still need (4 or so issues from the 60s), so that's been a nice walk down memory lane for me trying to do some detective work again.  smile.gif

Hi, I'm Ed Winchester!
Hardest game in the world, that. Done it meself - thirty years, man and boy.
How queer! Where's me washboard?

These will all make sense to people who have seen the show.

Does it have a finnish name? And is it some Subbarijuttu?

It's called "Ruuvit löysällä" in Finland. It may have been shown on SubTV at some time. I think it was originally shown on MTV3.

Since Archie is a finn, I'd say for about three people. biggrin.gif

We have invited about 115 people and 100 have been calculated to be drinking alcohol.

Well, we invited our family + grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends...
The place we will have the wedding party takes max 120 people so we hope that the final attending guest list will be closer to 100 than 115.

we got our new video projector today, an Epson TW200H with 3000:1 contrast, 1300 ANSI Lumen and 1280x720 resolution. It's infinitely more complicated (and better) than our old one. I'm usually prett nerdy about stuff like tweaking audio and video settings, but this 50 A4 page packed-with-info manual takes the cake. I tried googling for some tips on xbox360 settings in a dark room, but all I found was a $1200-course for colour calibration. Nerd alert!!! I'll bring the manual to work tomorrow and do a couple hours of fiddling tomorrow. I look forward to boring Hild and my friends with my magnificent colour calibration skills biggrin.gif

Received yesterday a package from Amazon.com. Within it was Marvel TPB: THOR - Disassembled.

It is a great book, maybe not as good as Walter Simonson's legendary "Surtur Saga" but very close. The TPB tells about the twilight of the Norse gods, Ragnarok. It features almost all important characters in Viking mythology.
This graphic novel is directly linked with the Stormbreaker TPB which I bought earlier.

I haven't bought movies for my collection for a long time, but today I got Sin City - Special 2 Disc edition, X-Men and Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers. That last one was must buy only because I'm B5 fan, it's actually really, really bad movie.
