To answer questions concerning the process: Yes, I do them free hand with pencils on paper and ink them afterwards. Now, after that I would normally put it in my scanner, but since my scanner died a couple of months ago I use a different and not particularly recommendable method based on my digital camera. It's a bit more time consuming, especially when it comes to the digital 'cleaning' of the lines and curves, but it'll have to do until I get my new scanner.

Last step is simply a matter of dealing with colors etc. in Photoshop.

Precisely. I was really taken by the style and the story in that one ... probably my favorite Spotlight. I really hope that Roche will get to do some more writing in the future (which I guess is very possible with Furman slowly packing his things).
