Went on a bit of a Beast Wars binge last month. As a result, these guys arrived this week. Metals Megatron stung the wallet a fair bit, but it beats having to be terrified of breaking the Hasbro/Kenner release.

Good price all things considered? I see the Versus set is quite pricey on eBay, but it's perhaps more sensible to buy the individual figures these days?

Sorta okay-ish. Ended up dropping about $80 on Megatron, which felt somewhat okay all things considered. I'd rather spend that now, than god knows how much in a couple of years when everyone and their aunt are hunting for the Metals release. Contemplated putting down another $20 for the VS pack, but I'm not that fond of the colours on Metals Convoy. tongue.gif

Metals Megatron looks like a very cool figure, many congrats on it Tformer. It's in the pipeline for me sometime when I have the money to start up the BW collection again (along with the Telemocha figures).

You gonna liberate him from his plastic prison so he can fight munky Prime? ;)

What makes Metals Megatron more durable than western release? I never had any troubles with my TM Megatron when I still had BW stuff.

The Metals version uses a different type of plastic on the waist, torso, etc. The Hasbro one has a tendency to grow brittle over time, not completely unlike GPS. Some are supposedly fine, but the vast majority will most likely crumble some day, so rather than taking the gamble, I decided to play it safe.
