Oh man, that must have cost you a pretty penny. 15 thousand NOK? 20 thousand? More?
Do you have pictures of it?

10 thousand. It's the top left here http://datakjeden.no/

I was mildly annoyed when I found out that it didn't have room for our old harddrive. Now we have to go to Hild's sister with our old Harddrive, install it in her computer, and copy the files to the external harddrive...

I hope installing the old harddrive in her pc won't be a problem? It does have the operating system on it, but it should be ok as long as I set it to "slave", right?

And yeah, the specs are nice. It seems blindingly fast so far smile.gif

OK, but my computer looks nicer... smile.gif
Attaching two hard drives to the same PC shouldn't be a problem. (Why do you hope it will be a problem? smile.gif ) Set the old drive as "slave" and attach it into the middle of the IDE cable. Set the new drive as "master, slave present" and attach it into the end of the cable. Assuming you use Windows, the partitions on the slave should get automatically renamed.
Does the external hard drive use a USB connection?

Does the external hard drive use a USB connection?

it's working fine, I'm on Hild's sister's computer now. *phew*

And yes, the external harddrive uses USB to connect externally. Strange that it's not firewire, USB is reaaally slow. I guess it's because not everybody has firewire. It has a docking station for use on our pc, though, so it gets regular transfer speed when we use it at home.

I forgot to mention that I also got a new game with the new computer: GT Legends. I've just downloaded drivers to use my ps2 force feedback wheel with the pc, so I'm very excited to try it out. As soon as I can afford it, I will also buy TrackIR, a device using technology for apache helicopter targeting systems that track head movement. It's used to look around in the cockpit of whatever vehicle you control in game - to look down for a bombing run in a flight simulator or out the passenger window in a hairpin turn in a driving game. I will post a review of this exciting new dimension to gaming as soon as I get it.

Does anybody know what sort of cable I need to connect my surround sound card to my receiver? The "digital out" looks like a regular minijack socket, but regular home theatre receivers only have inputs for optical or coaxial cables (for digital audio).

I got a lot of stuff from my sisters and my mother yesterday when they threw me a bachelorette party.
I got an appointment at the hairdressers to try to fix my ruined hair, and I got two Redkend protein products to help build up the structure in my hair.
We went to lunch at Ostehuset, and after that to a movie; The Matador. It was actually quite funny to our big surprise.
We had dinner at Allegro and drinks at Papparazzi. I got some things intended to be props for their funny stories about me, but the item I enjoyed the most was a photo album my mother had put together with pictures from my entire life. She did the same for Lin and Siv when they got married.

I just got three new shirts because of the History class-trip I've been talking about. This is the first time I didn't feel awkward when trying the clothes. Usually I'm all jumpy, because I fear someone's going to think that my fitting-room (or actually closet.. huh?) is free and takes the curtain away... Brrr...

Oh, here is a pic of me in my favorite of the three shirts:

What do you think? Does it fit?

tongue.gif  I look stoned because the damn flash always makes me shut my eyes.  laugh.gif Uh.. you can't actually see it from that angle, but I'm really overweight. Well, I'm 165 cm tall, and my weight is 99 point something. So almost 100. You can't actually blame me for going into that state, because obesity is sort of hereditary in our family.
