Read this thread at your own risk as it will contain a lot of spoilers!

A person working on the third Transformers movie has taken upon himself to supply the fans with spoilers and info about the movie. Although he hasn't revealed himself or what his job on the movie is, many of the things he's revealed have been shown to be accurate afterwards. He posts on a few different forums so I thought I'd try to gather some of the stuff in a thread for you guys here. Please remember that more or less everything is unconfirmed, and things will change in the movie right up until release.

Again, you read this at your own risk!

* Optimus has a trailer (previously confirmed). The trailer is part of a weapons system
* Lots of new Autobots and Decepticons, and this time we get more new Autobots than Decepticons
* Still not sure if the twins are in the movie even though several ice cream trucks have been seen on set. They could be part of a flashback scene that's included in the movie. The truck looks brand new and shiny as well, compared to the rusty, crappy one that was in ROTF
* Simmons is back, and he's a millionaire, possibly from writing books. Less toilet humour as well
* Megatron is back, but with a twist. Apparently he's back in a way that "no one expects"
* The red Ferrari is Hot Rod
* The red firetruck is Inferno
* The reason for fewer new Decpeticons is because the Autobots are fighting more than Decepticons this time, and it is because of something the 'cons did
* Patrick Dempsey might be a pretender
* Rejected movie titles include "Exile", and "Key to the Past"

I will keep adding to this post as new stuff gets released!

UPDATE:

* story will return to core mythology with more character development and story telling
* The main bad ground will be Shockwave in a story that goes "into the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, suggesting there was a hidden Transformers role in it all that remains one of the planet's most dangerous secrets. 'The movie is more of a mystery,' Bay says. 'It ties in what we know as history growing up as kids with what really happened.'
* The meta plot is "Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) taking his first tenuous steps into adulthood while remaining a reluctant human ally of Optimus Prime."
* Patrick Dempsey's role is described as "significant to the plot"
* Starscream is killed by a human, "Hardcore Eddie"
* Story includes the possible assassination of humans by two robots
* "As a trilogy, it really ends," [Michael Bay] says. "It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending."
* Jolt the Chevy Volt does not return for TF3

^ shocked.gif Thanks for posting! "The reason for fewer new Decpeticons is because the Autobots are fighting more than Decepticons this time, and it is because of something the 'cons did". Maybe they will raise some ancient thing (like Unicron, but smaller biggrin.gif) or something... <__< Maybe this strange object has something to do with it?

And there are some rumours about that Dempsey will kill Starscream. Well, if he is a pretender it makes sense. Though I don't like that they put pretenders for these movies.

I'm more and more starting to think that Dempsey might be a headmaster/powermaster component to the new big bad(shockwave?).. Since they brought in a pretender and a combiner in the last movie it would make sense to bring in something new from the mythology for this. But probably as a robotic component and not a human

That would be so awesome. While I think they did a terrific job on Alice in ROTF, I don't think pretenders as a concept works all that well in live-action movies. Reminds me too much of Terminator.

Title of the third movie revealed?

Some books that are set for release next year, pretty close to the official release date for the third movie, have shown up on the Amazon website, which may show what the third movie will be called.
The books are to be released May 17 and the author has written books for the 2007 Movie and ROTF as well.

The movie might be called:

Transformers: The Dark Of The Moon

Also, there's a movie website domain name registered on 13th September this year. It's www.transformersthedarkofthemoonmovie.com! The domain is registered by the same people who registered both the 2007 Transformers movie and ROTF Domains on behalf of Paramount & Dreamworks!

Ah, the plot thickens smile.gif

Yeah, I read about it from TFW2005... it looks quite cool, but I think that Megatron doesn't care about is he disguised or not, so the reason for this "remold" is possibly that they wanted new toy mold for Megatron. biggrin.gif But it looks cool, I have to admit that!

Transformers: The Dark Of The Moon

Interesting. That will be a tricky title to translate to Swedish, since the actual meaning has no corresponding word in modern Swedish. We have words for several of the other of the moon's phases, but not for that one. We would have to go back to older Swedish to find a fitting translation, in which case the Swedish subtitle would become "Blånedan". But it seems extremely unlikely that the translators would go with that translation in this case, no matter how accurate it is. Especially since it's unlikely that's it's the meaning that the scriptwriter actually intended. It will probably mean something different even in English, and I suspect that the Swedish translators may come up with something entirely new that simply refers to the moon without using the same meaning as the English title.

We have word for the meaning of the title in finnish, but I think that after horrible ROTF translation, which was Kaatuneiden kosto (Revenge of the fallen ones) we will get something that means The Darkness of the moon...

Seriously, not bad title at all. Of course title like 'Till All Are One' or 'The Darkest Hour' could be nostalgic and great, but they're maybe too corny for live-action movie. biggrin.gif

yeah, i have been thinking about the translation for that too, and it's a really ind twisting, because there is a plenty of ways how to say it, and in some cases it will miss lead in every possible ways.. crazy2.gif

It looks like the movie takes a bit longer now since Bumblebee was severely injured by a cop-car.

They do have at least two versions of the cars. One stunt version and one "hero" version, where the stunt car is a fake Camaro with less detailing, just used for action scenes, and they have several, while the "hero" version is the real deal with all the detailing, used for close-ups, shows, promotional pictures and things like that. I hope it was the stunt version, 'cus they got plenty of those, hehe smile.gif
