Hi all! I'm brand new to this site (have been lurking for a while). I'm also registered over at seibertron.com, but I figured that it would be nice to hang around the Nordic TF place too ... thumbs.gif

I might as well throw my character designs up right away. Only one of them has got a bio + tech specs at the moment and it was done by a fellow seibs member. If any of you feel like writing something for any of the other characters (or the ones that'll follow), feel free to PM me. I could do them myself but I figured that it would be cool to let others do them.

Characters + bios can be found at Deviantart

Decepticon Harvest (no. 1 in the combiner team)

Decepticon Dragger (no. 2 in the combiner team)

Decepticon Airspray (no. 3 in the combiner team)

Decepticon Sandstorm

Autobot Fieldtrip

Autobot Fieldtrip - 'Shattered Glass' version

Autobot Groundhawk - a tribute to Stephen Hawking

Autobot Camper (a couple of years old ... blush2.gif )

Cool! I love seeing odd vehicles/equipment being remade into Transformers - it's a refreshing change from the (all too) common cars and airplanes - and these are both well-made and well-drawn.
I think I like Harvest the best of this group. Seeing that figure, I realize I would like to see a whole combiner group consisting of agricultural and forest machinery. smile.gif

And welcome to the NTFA, by the way!

Thanks a lot!

Yeah, I try to do mostly odd alt. modes, it's a bit more challenging.

Harvest is my favorite too so far. I went for a kind of G1'ish look on him and I think it turned out okay. Funny that you should mention the combiner-idea - I've been thinking about that myself. I guess it'll be an upcoming project for this summer. I think that he should be the main body due to his size, so now I just have to decide on four minor cons for arms and legs. It's gonna be a trip! w00t.gif

Welcome to the forums, Needlenose! Very nice pictures you have there. You have obviously given a lot of thought to how the characters would transform.

A nice "Welcome!" from me, too! smile.gif

Couldn't agree more with Lars: Harvest is my favourite as well (although the others are really cool as well) - I think that is could have something to do with the "danish" feel of him. I could easily imagine one of those things driving around the streets/country-side, as opposed to all the Ford Mustangs and Hummers that Hasbro are churning out...

Have you considered hooking up with a kitbasher to realise some of those designs?

Thanks for all the nice comments! It's always nice to get some good feedback on stuff that is pretty lonely to do ...

Martin: Yes, I've considered the possibility of a kit-bashed Harvest. He shouldn't be too difficult to do, I think. I'm planning a couple of scratch-builds right now, but maybe I'll try to do him at some point. If anyone else lurking here should feel like doing him they're of course more than welcome!

It's great to be on board here! Seems like a nice and friendly place!

Camper specially touched my heart.

Is Sandstorm based on some real military vehicle? It looks really awesome!

Thanks a lot! Camper is a bit 'old' by now, but he's still charming I guess smile.gif

Yes, Sandstorm is actually based on a real vehicle; the so called ULTRA AP. It's a really mean looking son of a ***** if you ask me, and I knew instantly when I saw it the first time that it had to be converted to a Decepticon!

Here is a bit of info on it from Wikipedia.

Yeah, they're really are robots in disguise unlike the sportscars and jets everybody is making up!

Don't look at me, I'll be hiding in the hangar... blush2.gif
