Done and done!
After collecting all the materials I needed, I decided this weekend was an perfect opportunity to finally get this little show on the road. The original 'paint' job was anything but exciting...
I had bought some metalizer spray paint that I've been wanting to use on my Leaderclass Optimus Prime, but I figured 'practicing' on Grimmy here would be a good start. I had tried the paint on some plastic toy parts before hand and it didn't really impress me... so using it on Grimmy was a bit of a gamble. I'm too impatient to wait for better results 8D
I started on Friday to take all parts apart and carefully photograph everything so that I wouldn't get WTF momets when I put him togheter. After that I carfully washed him, while wearing rubber gloves to not get any greasy fingers on his frail body. I washed away that icky oily look he had. Kids can't def use this toy outdoors, that paint came off like it was nothing.
I let him dry over night.
On sat the painting took part. Much painting and much rubbing. Was very exciting 8D. I decided to show mah artisticness (yea right) and added some 'extra details'. More like filling in paint on lazy areas etc etc.
And on Sunday I began the process of re-assemble him. Much swearing was done, I know My patience is amazingly thick-as-chocolate when it comes to my models/toys/ whatever. Those arm joints were driving me insane. Also I needed to remove a screw that had become unscrewable (sucky quality ftl) and find a replacement, which I did and it fit perfectly. A little too perfect, the others looks way to shiny compared to this new paintjob.
Added a bit more paint at certain areas, and took pics. My cam decided to run out of battery, and when it does, you really need to wait for 5h to have it recharged =( I managed to get some OK pics during the process.

I'll try get some fancy fancy pics laters 8D. Woopie. This is my first TF repaint btw. It really added an aftertaste.

*edited some bah typoes* Begone typoeeeiiiiussss!
