Another time with no changes in the ranks. Also, the "others" part, which increased significantly last time, seems to be decreasing again.
To be perfectly honest I have to wonder if last time's increase for "others" mustn't have been the result of a miscalculation. It doesn't seem realistic that we first had so many people outside the top 24 post so much that the "other" segment increased so much, especially not without a single one of them making it into the top 24, and then (on top of that) the top 24 posted so much during the next period that we managed to push "others" back again.

I could perhaps accept the former, but not the former and the latter together. I'm not good with piechart maths, but a quick and very rough estimate tells me that the top 24 would have had to make 3500-4500 posts since the last time (while everyone else had remained silent) to push back "others" so much. And we don't post that much nowadays.

Yes, that's what I thought too. I've verified that this month's calculations are correct, however, so I must have made a mistake two months ago. But, even though I still have the calculations I made then, I can't remember the actual stats then and they can't (easily) recalculated any more, so I can't verify if they were correct.

No matter; it's not the end of the world. For me it's enough that you agree with my suspicions - it tells me that my reasoning isn't completely off. smile.gif

Well, there's no point in going for the top 2-4 posters for me, but I have surpassed Psychotron since last time (understandably, with him posting less than before these days), so my next "opponent" to take on will be SureShot! Mwuahahahaaa! evillaugh.gif tongue.gif
