Okay, that is something we can't accept on the board. The film is still available in theatres and will eventually come out on DVD, so there will be no linking to sites that host it.

I'd say the quality is still so bad online that people anyway would run out to the theatres and watch it, or wait untill the DVD releases come...so no big problem for me.

Whether we've seen it or not is irrelevant, it's still copyright infringement. If people want to see it again, they will have to pay for another movie ticket, and/or the DVD. Movies are not free to share online.

This is not the official opinion of the NTFA. This is merely my personal opinion:

By downloading a low quality, pirated movie that we all like, we do more damage than good. Besides performing an illegal action, you damage the film industry by making them lose money when you download the movie instead of seeing it in the movies, buying the DVD, etc. Less income = less chance of new movies, higher chance of movie ticket prices going up (which is something that's already happening), more expensive DVDs, etc. etc. etc. For those who love the Transformers universe, it should be obvious that you do not use pirated and illegal materials. Use some of your hard earned cash instead, to support the things we all like. If you are so eager to see the movie again, go to the cinema! There's nothing wrong with watching the same movie in the cinema several times!

I don't give a damn about your opinion conserning copyright. Downloading copyrighted materials is illegal, end of story. By allowing such activities here, the forum could be shut down, or even worse. What you do in the privacy of your home is your business and your business alone, but don't bring that crap here.

Hmmm, must've missed out on that. At least he didn't provide a link to a site where you can download the game.

It may not be the official opinion, but it could just as well be. We will not damage the movie industry by sharing or allowing links to movies (the same goes for any other commercial material, like music or computer software).
This is not debatable, and anyone posting such links in spite of this warning may be warned or suspended.

He did, and I didn't like it, but I decided it falls under "what you do in the privacy of your home is your business". We can't tell people what they can and cannot do in their own homes, but what we can do is to make sure that this board will not help the distribution of commercial material.

I hear you. But still... if I offered u a copy of Takara Headmasters on DVD for free would you decline ?. I know there's difference on distribution and small "fish works".
I'm not saying I'm supporting piracy but I have a hard time understanding the morals in it... I bet 99.98% of us all have something that isn't 100% pure legal - transformers or not... we're all guilty.

Perhaps O.T but still a nice twist. Some research have shown that due to music pirating the artists now more than ever deliver concerts to promote their materials instead of hiding in a studio and distribute it... well that's an unexpected side effect of piracy.

Our discussion is about providing illegal material on these forums, and not if there is copyright on youtube or not. If you by that mean that I upload videos there, yes, I have done so twice, using pictures that I've taken in my own home, picturing items in my own possession, with my own camera that I bought with my own money. I have the copyright to those pictures, which is perfectly legal. However, if you were to rip the video that I made from youtube, and then spread it via i.e. bittorrent, that would be illegal since I haven't given you permission to do so.

If it was the original release on original DVDs I would accept it. I wouldn't accept it if it was a bootleg/downloaded/pirated/ripped/stolen release.

I'm not saying that I'm perfect either. As I stated before; what I do in my home is my own business. What I do at home is something that's publically unknown. On an internet forum, that's an entirely different thing, since it's something that's open for everyone. However, I would never, ever, get any pirated TF-related material of any kind, since I want to support the franchise.
