As you may or may not be aware of, I designed the character Groundsplitter back in the 90´s. (I'm still waiting for Lars to pay me royalties for using the character) Originally, the character was based on Jackhammer from M.A.S.K and had a similiar altmode including the attackmode with the guntower and the bonnet that slid back to form a protective shield over the windshield.
Last week, Lars asked me if I had a closeup of the head of the character. I didn't. So I sat down to make one and at the same time I decided that it was time to give the character a much needed upgrade.
The robot form is now more elaborate with more parts then previously, adding much needed bulk and mobility. His altmode is changed from a Ford Bronco which is no longer in production to a Ford Ranger and finally the attackmode is quite different from Jackhammer. With no human involved there is little reason for the protection or a manually controller guntower.

Enjoy.

It seems that you’ve been living two lives. In one life you have a social security number and pay your taxes. The other life is spent on... Transformers. You use every dollar on these toys, watch the cartoons and read the comics. One of these lives has a future and one of them does not.
