Finally, after what seems like an eternity, some new art.

Some might notice that this piece is heavily inspired by one scene from The Matrix. And this could be called 'the duel of the characters voiced by Bumber Robinson'.

This is also the first time I tried using smudge to portray motion blur.

I got the idea for this one from the episodes where word "boob(y)" meant "idiot".

In G1 episode "Prime target":
Optimus Prime: (seeing Blitzwing caught in a trap) "Amazing, a booby trap that actually catches boobies."

In Beast Wars episode "Cutting edge":
Megatron: "When expecting booby traps... (Quickstrike walks into a trap) ...always send the boob in first."

So I got an idea of TFA Blitzwing seeing his G1 namesake and BW Quickstrike caught in a bouncy kind of booby trap and making a bad joke about it. And as expected, Lugnut is NOT amused.

Sorry about the extremely lazy background, it's just something I decided to try...

As today (June 11) is Lynette Bishop's birthday, I decided to have TFA Bulkhead congratulate his Strike Witches counterpart, like with Blitzwing and Sanya. I can imagine Bulkhead doing art as a present for someone, like I draw congratulary cards to my relatives. I tried to give his painting some kind of Picasso-look, but because I'm not so familiar with all the abstract styles I'm not sure it came even close. Maybe it looks like something a small kid would draw.

I noticed that there also happens to be some similiarities between the superiors of the heroes of Transformers Animated and Strike Witches season 1. There's the Supreme Commander who's more or less reasonable (Ultra Magnus, Winston Churchill) and the other officer who doesn't get along THAT well with the heroes (Sentinel Prime, General Maloney). I can imagine Churchill saying "And Commander Minna (OP's Strike Witches counterpart)... don't let anyone try to be a hero, it never ends well."

This is a sort of continuation to this picture As team leaders, Optimus Prime and Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke have to overcome their grief to face their foes with determination...

I tried to add some shining effects to make both of them to look more heroic. It was a bit hard to keep Optimus from looking too evil.

This time I tried to keep track at the time spent on doing this: about 4 hours doing lineart (pencils and inking), about 4½ hours fixing lineart in GIMP 2.6 (cleaning and making it easier to color) and about 2½ hours coloring.

I also got an idea of Optimus Prime and Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke fighting against the other's nemesis; Optimus against one of the Neuroi and Minna against TFA Megatron. I like how Minna turned out, looking very fearless. After seeing Endgame part 2 I felt I just had to draw her version of "My name is...!" -scene.

This is my first attempt at drawing Neuroi and their beams and Wingblade Optimus. I also attempted doing lightning effects on Magnus Hammer and Striker unit propellers completely with GIMP 2. It wasn't easy and I suppose I still need a lot of practice...

As today (August 18) is Yoshika's and Sanya's (from Strike Witches) birthday, I decided to have Ratchet congratulate his Witch counterpart and her friend. Of course he wouldn't do it without Sari persuading him, trying to make him friendlier...

Another TFA/Strike Witches crossover. In this picture I decided to feature characters that are not main villains, but still cause trouble for the main characters. I imagined Optimus could do that to General Maloney if he'd get into situation he couldn't get out of by pulling rank anymore. And Porter C. Powell might find out that Captain Fanzone isn't the only one who's not exactly willing to provide him protection...

I got another idea for a Blitzwing vs. Sanya (Strike Witches) pic: if Megatron would ever order Icy to intercept Sanya, he would do it ruthlessly, efficiently and without playing around like Random. Then again, Sanya is probably not a pushover either, so the match might still be pretty even...
